About Children's Brain Tumor Network
Children's Brain Tumor Network (CBTN) is a collaborative, multi-institutional research program dedicated to the study and treatment of childhood brain tumors. CBTN includes 26 member institutions and counting, with sites located in Europe, Asia and throughout the United States. Each of the members of the CBTN are dedicated to discovering better treatments through collaborative research. Wylie's Day Foundation is a proud supporter of CBTN research programs.
How is CBTN improving outcomes for children?
CBTN understands that finding a cure for pediatric brain cancer requires the combined efforts of a diverse group of doctors, researchers and patients, to discover new precision therapies and improve patient outcomes. Currently, the lack of available data is limiting the ability of researchers to understand how brain tumors form and change over time. The samples of tumor tissue, blood, saliva and DNA collected by the CBTN provide valuable data which is made available to researchers around the world to empower research discovery.
